We run two short screen printing classes that you can choose from.
The first teaches you how to silkscreen onto paper and the second onto apparel. The workshops are for people with no or little screen printing experience.
Once you have completed a workshop you become a member of the Waste studio which allows you to book time to use our equipment at your own leisure.
This Workshops Cover Basic Screen Printing Skills incl:
• Coating emulsion on screens • Creating hand-drawn positive film • Light exposure • Printing 1-color on T-shirts or Paper • Understanding screen mesh count • Printing requirments per project • Mixing and printing with water based inks • Reclaiming screens for the next project
We teach you how to get your artwork ready to print onto film, how to coat a screen with photo emulsion, expose it with your design using a professional exposure unit.
You will print either using a vacuum table or t-shirt carrousel, depending which workshop you choose.
Each student leaves the workshop with 10 1-color prints on t-shirts or paper which are provided in the cost of the workshop.
The Workshops are 6 hours long and cater for 3 - 6 people. The cost is £135 per person (excluding VAT). This price includes lunch, materials and the supervision from us.

A deposit of £50 is required to book your place in the class. After we have received the deposit and confirmed space, we will email a confirmation that includes instructions to prepare for class.
